35 year old woman was found dead and slumped against the wall in the foyer of her home; her throat had been deeply slashed.

Witnesses reported that her husband had been lurking around in front of the house for some hours before she came home. He followed her in and she had the second smile next time she was seen.

Police said that there was no sign of a struggle in the house, so there did not seem to be any sort of fight or argument. They believe the killing was pre-meditated and that he followed her inside specifically to slash her throat, which he did quite effectively. Likely without her even realizing it until it was happening.

Reporters have since discovered that she had a protective order put in place against the man 6 months ago, but that it was lifted in November. Reporters were unsure why, whether she requested the lifting or if it was an administrative decision of some kind. Whatever the case, dude was having none of it.

He is still at large and is being searched for presently. Sorry about shortage of photos and censoring and watermarks, etc. My time is limited at the moment and I can only dedicated about 30 mins a day to searching right now.

Edit: Did find another interview with a different cop who discussed the scene with a bit more detail than the earlier reports. He stated that, though there was no sign of a major struggle (furniture knocked over, damage to walls, etc), the woman did have defensive wounds on her hands. He also told the reporter that she'd urinated in her pants, likely while she was standing up due to the way the pattern reaches almost to her knees front and back. He opined that this may have meant she was aware of the attack and began urinating in fear of her life, rather than a postmortem bladder release after she slumped dead to the ground.

I got the impression from the report that the neighbors likely did not know/understand that she was in fear of him. Neighbors said they argued often but no one reckoned him for bloody carnage. Callin 5-0 in Mexico is dicey enough as it is, let alone calling them on your neighbor for loitering in front of his own house.

It may have saved her life in this case if they'd done it, who knows. But my read is that they didn't realize they had any reason to call them in the first place.
