Her biological father separated with her mother when she was 3, and took care of her until the father suddenly passed away. Then, her mother took her away and let her live with her maternal grandparents.

After a year, her mother took her back, and that's where the nightmare started. Her mother had married a new guy, a convicted drug addict, and they'd already had another daughter.

Her mother and stepfather beat her up every day, and locked her up inside a room. On June 7, she received another round of beating; she was repeatedly hit in the head by a bamboo stick. Her head became swollen and she couldn't eat, and on June 9 she died from her injury.

To hide their heinous crimes, her parents wrapped her body in a blanket, weighted it down with concrete, and dumped it into Samrong Canal at night. Then, they fled to another province.

Still, her body floated up, the police was alerted, and the evil mother and stepfather were finally arrested. Justice has prevailed.
