With these pictures I always wonder what the cause of death was (aside from the fact that they were in a car accident). I guess in most of these it's pretty obvious what killed the people whose brains are on the pavement or are missing heads...but like this one I just wonder where they got hit, and with what, to cause that much blood on their shirts. The daughter's shirt is mostly covered on her left side...maybe an artery in her neck was severed?

Also, there can be enough force generated to cause a sever whiplash that can sever the spinal cord at the base of the neck, killing instantly...but I'm just making presumptions.
