Mock Crime Scene: Police Explorer Trainees and a Painted Body Mannequin
The apparent body is very likely a mannequin used in a police training exercise. People who examined the images noted that green paint has rubbed off the nose tip, chin and outer cheek, exposing flesh-colored plastic, while the head has hair plugs and appears to be wearing a wig. The two people inside the taped-off area have Explorer on their shirts, which caused confusion because detectives do not describe themselves as explorers. They are not detectives. Law Enforcement Exploring is a career-focused youth program, run by Learning for Life and the Boy Scouts of America, for people roughly 14 to 20 years old. Local posts are linked to police and sheriff's departments, and Explorer posts take part in local, state and national scenario contests where mock crime scene investigation is a routine event. This is what the images appear to depict. One member disagreed, saying the blood appears convincingly dried. No source for the images has been found; they are credited to the defunct site Ogrish and may be considerably older. |

Re: Mock Crime Scene: Police Explorer Trainees and a Painted Body Mannequin
In my humble opinion: 1) These two "investigators" are American because of their obesity. 2) The crime scene already has tape cordoning off the area. Trainees aren't going to be carrying around crime scene tape normally. 3) What other purpose would there be to provide a photograph of two explorers for crime-scene purposes. Their two butt-shots don't add anything to the case's value. Therefore it supports these two explorers were photographed to add to some sort of promotional material to reflect that propose of this situation was to benefit the police-explorer program. 4) That victim has too-perfect of facial features for something that would otherwise be in an advanced state of decomposition. Normally something that decomposed, the face would be distorted. Unless the body was in a very cold environment, but the two explorers appear to be dressed for warmer weather. 5) The body clearly has a wig. It's unlikely someone that young would have been bald wearing a wig. Those hair plugs look like they go unnaturally into the head. That hair is too thick. 6) The blood looks fresh and bright-red for somethat in an advanced state of decomposition. The neck and shoulders don't look proportional to the head. 7) The duct-tape around the mouth appears to have a slit-open for the lips, for whatever reason. In conclusion, this appears to be promo-photos for a mock murder investigation for some police explorer program. |

Re: Mock Crime Scene: Police Explorer Trainees and a Painted Body Mannequin
One other item I see...the outside edges of the green face/head, appear to be worn-down from excess handling, revealing a more 'flesh' color as though that head is from a typical store mannequin. If you look along the tip of its nose, around the chin, the outside edge of her cheek -- those areas are worn-down through what is either a green/blue pigment or dye.

At first glance it would appear like a dead body but is most likely a training thing. "Explorers" ... |

This is a dummy in a make-believe crime scene for training purposes. |
