Re: Mississippi in B+W
I live in Mississippi and recognize some of the photos from histories of the state. They used to actually make postcards of these images for use in the mail. Occasionally, you will find one with some terrible caption that was meant to be humorous at the time.

Re: Mississippi in B+W
IMHO, racism is an evil, ugly, multi-tentacled beast that has been alive for thousands of years and will continue to live until the Father sends His Son- it is the nature of man. I AM NOT trying to start a discussion on religion, JMHO that the state of mankind, as it now exists, is a result of the fall. Racism is self- perpetuating- mom and dad eat meat, the kids eat meat- mom and dad are catholic, the kids are catholic- mom and hate blacks, jews, whites, martians, etc., the kids do as well. |

Re: Mississippi in B+W
i` think it still stands between the expectations and standards that we imposed on ourselves succesfully and its preservation in earnest and the envie and exploitation of others who dismissed these ideals and sacrifices but want to reap and live in its rewards. But if you have so many that dont uphold these standards it will falter for all of us, and there are alot of statistics that show exactly that.Another point is that racism comes much more from the minority wanting to much from others, and alot of people have been murdered in this unbroadcasted racial war,and a whole lot of them are white people just minding there own buisness.it`s one of the main reasons why the murder rate is still so high in the united states.you could say drugs also but there are drugs everywhere.
