Miners
The Ulyanovskaya Mine disaster was caused by a methane explosion that occurred on March 19, 2007 in the Ulyanovskaya longwall coal mine in the Kemerovo Oblast. At least 108 people were reported to have been killed in the blast, which took place at a depth of about 270 m (885 feet) at 10:19 local time (3:19 GMT). The mine disaster was Russia's deadliest in more than a decade. |

Re: Miners
I found this: "Over 140 miners were trapped in a Siberian coal mine Monday after an explosion that caused at least three casualties, authorities said. Three injuries had been reported after a methane blast at the Ulyanovsk longwall mine in Siberia's Kemerovo region, more than 3,000 kilometres east of Moscow. " |
