The Mexican did send the troops after them. He declared "war on the cartels" last year. Corruption is a major problem with the Mexican government. About a month ago, the cartel was able to obtain the Mexican presidents medical records. The Mexican population simply does not trust any single type of law enforcement agency. Corruption is the main issue. Each time I go visit my family down in Mexico, I take extra precautions. The cartel has everyone scared. one more stat, the largest drug bust ever made, was 1/800th of 1% of a years profit, just because you read about some big bust, no matter how much they brag about the money, its nothing. the whole thing is so fucked up i dont even begin to try and figure out a solution, and im a texas/mexican historian, i really cant stand when people say their 'brilliant ideas',in the end its a terminal cancer in chemo limbo |
