Mexico - Woman Murdered by Her Partner
In the early hours of 16th March 2020 in El Salto (Mexico), M.D.J.A. was murdered by her partner, F.B.V., inside their home. 'M's body was found by her 3 children. Next to her body, a pair of scissors lay - she had used them to try + defend herself. 'M' had a bag over her head. Neighbours state that 'M' had been raped by 'F'. They say that the couple had only been living in their home for a couple of months + hardly spoke to anyone. The police are seeking out 'F' to arrest him.

Great post! You beat me on a Mexican feminicide, which is usually hard to do. :) Good on you. Cause of death was listed as suffocation then? Or did he use the scissors on her too? I dont see any lacerations...other than maybe the one on her arm, which is obviously not fatal.

Thank you, Ved'. I only found 2 articles on this but neither stated the cause of death, only that she had the bag on her head + she used the scissors to defend herself. But yeah, you're probably right that she was suffocated. Though saying that, there's a load of blood near her head, which I doubt was just from possible jabs with the scissors at the bloke.

Okay, on further research, apparently most of the blood is from her neck. He put a bag over her head, punched her a few times, and then also strangled her with a cable. You can see that he pulled it hard enough to lacerate the skin in several places on her throat. So an asphyxiation combo of suffocation/ligature strangulation.

There's a dark spot on her throat which I thought might be a puncture, possibly from the scissors.
