MEXICO: Son of Legendary Juarez Cartel Boss Executed

Please bear with me, I hardly ever post stuff like this.

Cesar Carrillo Leyva aka “El Cesarin”, the son of legendary Mexican Cartel boss Amado Carrillo Fuentes aka “Lord of the Skies”, was executed 13 August around 9pm upon arriving at his home in Novolato, Sinaloa. He was 35 or 36 years old.

Witnesses stated at least two armed subjects came to the home in a “newly remodeled” Nissan and several gunshots were heard. Apparently, this is an upscale neighborhood with the kind of people that A) actually call the cops and B) cops show up very quickly. Calls were reported around 8:56pm and the police were there right around 9pm. Upon arrival of the Municipal Police, they confirmed that Cesar was found with several gunshot wounds, dead in the garage.

There is only one photo so far of him postmortem, and I welcome anyone to contribute any they may have found. I will post more if I find any.

I first heard of this on a YouTube channel I peruse: OG Shadow. He is a cartel insider with seemingly particularly good information on his channel, if anyone is interested in that kind of stuff. I’ve included two videos of his related to the incident.

His father, Amado Carrillo Fuentas aka “Lord of the Skies” took over control of the Juarez Cartel after betraying and assisinating his boss, Rafael Aguilar Guajardo. Amado became legendary, known as the “Lord of the Skies” or “El Senor de Los Cielos” due to the large fleet of jets he used to transport drugs between Columbia, Mexico, and US. He was also known for laundering money via Columbia to finance his fleet. He died in a hospital in Mexico City 4 July, 1997 undergoing extensive plastic surgery to change his appearance. It’s been reported his cause of death was either, bad drug reaction, malfunctioning respirator or cardiac arrest. All vastly different things but paperwork on his death is scarce making some believe that he faked his death. At the time of his death he was being heavily tracked by Mexican and US authorities. It was estimated he had made over 25 billion over his career.

I’m still researching exactly what Casar’s role was within the organization. I do know that after Amado Carrillo Fuentas’ death, his uncle and brother (Vicente Carrillo Leyva) took over. There were alliances and betrayals but eventually the Sinaloa Cartel absorbed part of the Juarez territory.

Vicente went to prison in 2009 for money laundering and was released in 2018. After that point, I'm not clear on how things played out, whether there was an alliance of some kind or what, but Sinaloa Cartel did not control the entire area, particularly Chihuahua, one of the most sought after areas in the country due to it’s proximity to the east coast of the US and mountainous regions idea for producing narcartics.

Either way, it is widely believed that Cesar’s death is going to mark the start of a whole new form of “high level” violence over loose ends, retaliation and power struggles over prime territory.

LATE EDIT (and this is opinion of the cartel insider): according to the 2nd video below, allegedly the hit was carried out by "El Chapo"'s sons from the Sinoloa Cartel, "Chapitos". They have been trying to control the area completely for over 10 years. He believes that the Sinoloa Cartel is about to lose any access to the border they had due to this incident. An armed street gang faction "La Linea" within the Juarez group is going to get together with different leaders all along the border to form an alliance to fight against the Sinaloa Cartel with leaders all along the US/Mexico border. However, the Juarez Cartel has been involved in some horrific acts with women and innocent civilians and have become very "new school" like the Zetas... and "old school" narcos of these border areas (Sonora, TJ, BahaCali) do not approve. For further info on all this please watch the videos.

Special thanks to Simone for her help!

I couldn't upload the OG Shadow videos for some reason but here is the links.

Ha, crazy! His dad really was famous. I think he had things to do with that Kiki Camarena thing, or that Cardinal getting killed at the airport, or something.
He's even in Narcos.

o.g. shadow is bogus. He gets his info from narco news websites and is not an insider.

Amado Carillo Fuentes wasn't involved in the kidnapping of Kiki Camarena.
