Mexico - Expectant Teenage Parents Found Drowned in a River
On 15th February 2019 in Huautla de Jiménez (Mexico), the bodies of a teenage couple were found. The bodies of 18 year old Y.M.d.l.C. + 17 year old D.H.C.B. were found floating in the Río Teotitlan; they had both drowned. The couple had not been reported missing as they were known for going off for several days at a time, so their families did not have cause for concern when they hadn't heard from them. 'Y's sister stated that she had been a student but was taking a break as she was pregnant. 'D' was the son of a former councilor of the treasury. *This looks so familiar, I swear that either I or someone else posted this here, but if it's here I can't seem to find it.

Like cardsharksam said.. one of them was probably drowning and the other tried to help and they both died. Looks like they weren’t in the water too long

Re: Mexico - Expectant Teenage Parents Found Drowned in a River
Back in the 1950's I had some cousins who discovered a Red Ocher Culture burial, consisting of one girl and two boys, right in their back yard. They were estimated at 2500 years old. Since there were no modern diseases in the American continents of the planet, the archeologists best guess was that the 3 were messing around at what is now known as the Milwaukee River, and the girl may have gotten into trouble, and the boys went in to help, and all three of them drowned. The graves were LOADED with copper, beads, sea shells, etc, etc. so they obviously were beloved and missed in death. They were all estimated as between 13-18 years old. (I wasn't aware, but all the diseases such as small pox, dyptheria, venereal diseases, black plague, and all the other common diseases, did not exist in the western hemisphere until the explorers brought them with them.) |

Actually the historical evidence shows pathogens went in both directions, with the new world getting smallpox and the plague from the old world, and the old world getting syphilis from the new world.

True. There are Aztec/central North American terra cotta figurines pre-European contact depicting people stricken with syphilis and yaws.
