Cambodia - Man Hacked to Death
In the early hours of 21st November 2021 in Prey Kathas district (Cambodia), 31 year old S.K. was murdered. 'S' had been hacked to death by a gang of men whilst he was eating at a snack stand by the riverside. Witnesses state that they gang attacking 'S' with swords + knives.                            On the afternoon of the 22nd, 29 year old S.C., a construction worker, was arrested for the crime. He confessed, stating that the murder "was not politically motivated, but a matter of resentment + verbal conflict between them".  Back on 12th May, 'S' had been attacked by 4 men. They had left him with with a head injury + fractured finger. 'S' was a former activist for the outlawed Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) + a doctoral law student.
