Mexico; Couple Executed for Evading Protection Payments at Their Food Business
Oaxaca, Oaxaca. MEXICO- L. V. T. and A. C. N., owners of the Keyla restaurant, were identified as those shot dead in the municipality of Jalapa del Marqués, Isthmus region. The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. this Thursday, March 30, on Pan-American Highway 190, a few meters from the 16 de Septiembre Elementary School. The victims were inside their restaurant, where unknown assailants shot them several times, killing them. Police confirmed the double execution, with the bodies left lying on the ground in pools of blood. The area was cordoned off so that ministerial authorities could remove the bodies.  ·  ·  ·  · |

Because they did not pay for protection then no one was there to protect them.
