Mexico City: Bandaged Body Hung From Iztapalapa Bridge (Oct 2015)
An unidentified man in his mid twenties was found dead on the morning of Monday, October 19, 2015, suspended from Puente de La Concordia. The road bridge is located in Mexico City's Iztapalapa borough, along the boundary with the State of Mexico. Bandages encased the man's entire body, and he had been shot twice in the head. A cardboard message was discovered about 100 meters from him. City prosecutors connected the homicide with a dispute involving Reclusorio Oriente prison. They said staged displays of this kind were highly unusual in the capital, though familiar in states such as Tamaulipas and Guerrero. Contrary to an incorrect airport reference, the bridge is roughly 10 km southeast of it. The victim's identity was never made public. The case received news coverage.  ·  ·  · |
