Mexican Man's Body Dumped Outside Shopping Plaza With Flayed-Off Face
Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico The body of a man was found dumped outside the 4 Ríos shopping plaza. The body was undressed, and his head had been skinned, with the flayed-off face displayed next to the body. Apparently, the face was stuck on a pumpkin, or 'calabaza' in Spanish. The deceased was identified as Jesús Armando Valdés López, known as 'El Indio de La Tola'. He was unofficially identified as the alleged head of hitmen for the faction known as “Los Calabazas". The message on the banner appears to be directed against "El Churras Calabazas," the head of Los Calabazas. The sign read:      |
