Moreso amongst women because they are medically proven to feel sensation from the vagal nerve bundle much more strongly than men. The vagus nerve innervates the bladder and, as it is often damaged or constricted during strangulation, it can result in bladder control issues even before death occurs. Because women are more susceptible to the effects of vagus nerve damage, it is considerably more likely to affect their ability to maintain bladder control while being strangled. Men wet themselves too,of course. But not nearly so often as women do in these cases. |
