Suffocation and strangulation are some of the messiest ways to go for this reason. Sure, there's less brains on the wall than a shooting and less blood than a beheading, but the bowels and the bladder are about 50% more likely to evacuate during an asphyxiation-related murder than any other type of death.

We see a lot of piss on this site because it typically soaks through clothes, but defecation is usually only visible if the decedent is undressed or in nothing but underpants. Happens ALL the time with asphyx deaths, but very hard to catch in photos outside of the morgue. Good find!
