Member of National Guard Shoots Himself Through Forehead (Possible Murder)
Happened yesterday, Mexico. He put a rifle to his forehead and.... (That is what is thought to have happened. Do you think it was murder?) |

Forehead wound looks more like an exit wound. Where's the rifle? I say he was murdered.

I actually thought myself that it looked like he was shot through the back of the head. But I can't claim to be an expert on the matter, still.... The report did say it was 'being treated' as a suicide. Maybe it isn't. |

Murdered. Shot thru back of head at semi-short distance with a rifle. (guessing a 5.45mm or a 5.56mm) |

Re: Member of National Guard Shoots Himself Through Forehead (Possible Murder)
It's easy enough to shoot yourself in the back of the head with a handgun (says rifle) plausible, ok. And I'm laughing my ass off how anyone can identify the caliber of the projectile without forensics. No doubt it's not a .25 caliber wound. Gun shot residue on the hands might give an answer. And if a rifle was used in a suicide to the back of the head, the entry wound will have to show that the muzzle of weapon would be a contact wound.

The position of the body might be questionable. If he shot himself, I would think that he would either fall backwards or to the side.
