Well put. As we see frequently illustrated on DR, there are 13 year olds and there are 13 year olds. Some are still functionally in childhood, while others are already into drugs, gangs, and sex, particularly in certain parts of the world. We usually see the latter category here as they are far more likely to end up dead from violence of some sort.
