On a rural road in the Magdalena Medio of Antioquia Department, Colombia, five people were murdered while travelling in a pickup truck. According to some media outlets, the massacre was orchestrated by cells of the 'Clan del Golfo' gang operating in the area.

The victims have been provisionally identified as:
Lisímaco S., president of a local Communal Action Board
Jhon F.P., vice-president
Johana S., secretary
Eduardo, known by the alias 'El Turra'
Eduardo's son

A week ago, a local human rights organization notified the presence of 'Clan del Golfo' cells in the area to the national government, and requested further security for potentially affected communities.
