Iraqi policemen inspect human remains at a mass grave uncovered in the desert of Diwaniyah province, some 130 km south of Baghdad, Iraq, 10 July 2011. Iraqi authorities uncovered a mass grave with 800 corpses near the central city of Diwaniyah. Officials said that the remains are believed to be Kurds killed during the rule of ousted leader Saddam Hussein, it is one of the bigger mass graves unearthed in recent years.
