Marino Adrian Lopez Cruz, Fatal Audi Crash in Santo Domingo, January 2018
In the early hours of Saturday, January 20, 2018, Marino Adrian Lopez Cruz, 24, was killed after losing control of a gray Audi on Avenida Anacaona, kilometer 10, near the entrance to Torre Les Elysees in Bella Vista, Santo Domingo. Lopez Cruz was the son of the owner of the Dominican restaurant chain Adrian Tropical. The vehicle struck and brought down three utility poles, cutting electricity to part of the area, and was damaged so severely that rescuers cut it apart to recover his remains. Unofficial accounts said speed was a factor in the crash. Press reports said the photographs being circulated showed his body had been split in two.             |

Apparently his mother owns a popular franchise chain The son of the owner of the restaurant franchise Adrian Tropical died in the early hours of this Saturday in a spectacular accident occurred on Anacaona Avenue, near the tower Les Elysées, number 95. The vehicle in which the young Marino Adrian Lopez Cruz was transported hit three posts of the power line, being totally destroyed and broken into pieces. The remains of Marino Lopez's son are veiled at Blandino Funeral Home on Abraham Lincoln Avenue and will be buried at 4:00 in the afternoon. Lopez was driving an Audi vehicle and was traveling alone at the time of the crash. Brigadas de Edeeste and Obras Públicas are trying to reestablish the electric service in the sector and make viable the transit in the area. |
