Maria Trinidad Mathus Tenorio, a 25-year-old Mexican musician and DJ, was killed on August 5, 2018, at Playa Carmen in Santa Teresa de Cobano, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. She and an English woman were on the beach in the early hours when two men approached and attempted a robbery; the other woman escaped and raised the alarm. Maria Trinidad was Just 25. Her name's Maria Trinidad Mathus Tenorio + it happened in Playa Carmen, Santa Teresa de Cobano, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. On 5th August 2018, Maria + an English woman were sitting on a beach at 4.30am when they were approached by 2 men. The men tried to rob the women. The English woman managed to escape + she ran for help at the hotel they were staying at. Employees from the hotel immediately went out to the beach in search of Maria. Maria's body was found at around 6.10am. I've read that she was: *raped + shot dead *raped + strangled *dragged out to the water + drowned. One of the suspects was found 30 minutes later. He was stripped naked + beaten by locals. The second suspect was arrested less than 3 hours later. The English woman identified both men as the attackers.
