Looks to me to possibly be from Syria or the Lebanon (by the looks of the an and also the rolled up trousers) but there is some nasty shit going on in Syria at the moment and the head looks like it belonged to a fat feck so was probably a bent official living the fat life off bribes!

What I find interesting is the fact that the guy holding the head is posed in a way that says "this is a common occurance. Nothing out of the ordinary here". Just seems so non chalant, like this kind of thing happens all the time (which Im sure in parts of the world, it does)

Yeah, it's like he's quietly proud of a prized turnip he grew in his allotment and is posing with it for the local Gardner's Monthly.
