Man's Severed Head Found in Bag in Porto Alegre on August 24, 2022
A man's severed head was found inside a black rubbish bag on Rua Cruzeiro do Sul in the Santa Tereza neighborhood of Porto Alegre on the morning of August 24, 2022. A refuse collector picked up the bag, realized what it contained and set it down. Civil Police were called at about 8:30 a.m. Police said surveillance footage showed the bag being thrown from a car at about 6:30 a.m. Investigators initially treated the case as a possible faction killing connected to local drug trafficking. Police said they had made a preliminary identification of the victim, but it remained subject to technical analysis.     |
