On Sunday 23rd November, town residents found the head of a man in a plastic bag in front of a residence located in Bahia (116 km from Salvador, Brazil).

The victim was identified by family members. According to police, his wife reported that he would have left around 11 am on Saturday (22nd) to work in a tire repair shop located in New Town Street when he was kidnapped by four men who were in a black vehicle.

The police sergeant also said that the victim's wife had received a phone call on Sunday morning telling her he'd been kidnapped. It had been established from the call that his head, torso and legs are in the city of Heart of Mary and the arms are in Feira de Santana, but the exact location isn't known.

Initial police surveys indicate that the crime was motivated by drug trafficking because the place where the head was found was in front of a dealer's family home. The victim allegedly belonged to rival gang. Police are investigating the case.
