I've been told to never swerve to miss something in the road, tho hitting a horse sounds just as bad. I Hit a much smaller (fully adult) whitetail one time and, let me tell you, it was like hitting a brick wall.

My driving instructor also told me to never swerve for an animal in the road. She said if you hit it you hit it, but if you swerve you're more than likely gonna crash into something and you have to put your life before the life of whatever it is in the road. But i end up swerving anyway just out of natural instinct
