It is possible, I no someone who slashed their own throat and wrist in an attempted suicide while intoxicated. Now has nasty scar across throat. The person would have to be extremely intoxicated to do that damage.

They are nasty wounds. I would suspect homicide by looking at the wounds. Having said that, the wounds "could" be self inflicted. All the cuts are consistent for a right handed suicide, including some starter marks or cuts.

If attacked from the front it was a left handed person or a front and back attack from a right handed.

Not enough from these few pictures to tell. But I have learned to not doubt the resolve from a person with their mind made up.
