Man Slits Lover, Sucks Out Blood

Security personnel in Masaka District are holding a man who slit open his fiance’s throat before sucking blood from her. Patrick Tugume, 25, a Sim Card vendor and resident of Kidda slaughtered his fiance Jackie Kanani, 22, a pump attendant at Petro City refilling station in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

It is alleged that Tugume first attempted to bite off Kanani’s nose before a feeling told him to slaughter her.

“I got a dream when I was in a pool of blood eating human flesh and when I woke up a feeling forced me to bite off Kanani’s nose which was not enough,” he told police. “I grabbed a knife and sliced her throat so that I can have more meat and blood.”

The suspect confessed that he acquired the cannibalistic behaviour from a fellow student at Kamengo Technical Institute. An eyewitness and a neighbour to the two said that they heard the two fighting and the next thing they heard was Kanani screaming for help.

“She tried to get out of the house but she fell in the courtyard after losing a lot of blood,” the neighbour who preferred anonymity said. She was rushed to Masaka Referral

Hospital where she was pronounced dead at about 4:00pm on Sunday. According to the police, Kanani’s body was found with teeth bites no the nose.

Tugume attempted to run away when he was naked but was intercepted by the mob which thumped him before he was whisked away by the police.

Surprised he was only "thumped" by the intercepting mob. I guess he was beaten up.
