Man Slits His Wife's Throat; Escapes Out the Back Door
Or 'escapar por puerta falsa', as they say in Mexico. Which is a euphemism for suicide, for those of you who haven't been here long enough to grok that. The farmer, 44, quarreled drunkenly with his 33 year old wife, then slashed her throat with a blade after chasing her out into a mango grove. When he saw that she was dead, he hung himself near her body. The grim scene was discovered by the woman's 8 year old daughter (the man here was the young girl's step-father). Neighbors said that the couple quarreled often and that the farmer wasn't a bad guy, but was dangerously jealous.  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

Quarreled with her while she was in her undies only? Maybe he had a reason to be jealous.  Doesn't justify what he did in any way though. |
