Man Shot Dead in a Shop
On the morning of 18th January 2015, 26 year old Jose Carlos Lins de Sousa was executed in Sítio Serra Verde, a rural area of Caruaru. Jose had come to Caruaru with a friend to buy a motorbike. On his way home, he was shot at by someone in a black car (it seems as though Jose was driving a car + his friend was on the motorbike). The shots missed him + he ran into a shop at a gas station to try to get away. He was chased + killed with several shots from a shotgun. An article states that Jose was selling used motorbikes 'to be removed in several parcels' (no idea what that means!) + that he had been threatened that he'd be killed.                   |
