Man Refuses to Stop Drinking So His Neighbour Kills Him!

In Banteay Meanchey on 24th May 2018, 32 year old Ivy Mao killed 56 year old Sok Kang. Kang's body was found the next day.

They were neighbours + apparently on friendly terms. They had been drinking in Kang's house. Mao told Kang to stop drinking but he refused + then began to fight. Mao took a nearby wooden stick + beat Kang until he was unconscious. He then dragged his body into the water.

Mao then hid, but he later emerged when he got hungry. He went to his home + had some rice + then returned to his hiding place.

When he was arrested on 27th May, Mao admitted to the murder.

These idiots always go hiding. Like the crime will go away unnoticed or something?

Re: Man Refuses to Stop Drinking So His Neighbour Kills Him!

At times we wanted to kill our family frenemy who refused to stop drinking and at times made our lives a living Hell but she made her poor kids lives a living Hell 24/7. Alcohol finally did it though. At 49 she turned yellow and wasted away to nothing as her liver failed. She had asked once, “if I get a new liver, can I start drinking again?” That’s why alcoholics aren’t usually and should never be given new livers, when they’d be taken one away from a much more deserving recipient. I myself have an alcoholic for a mother, which is obviously frustrating, but Leann was on a different level. She got belligerent drunk 2-3 times per day, and passed out just to start all over again the moment she awoke at whatever time that may be. My mom drinks all day, everyday, but she doesn’t get falling down drunk multiple times per day. I’ve been around alcoholics my entire life, but Leann was different. I don’t understand how she kept getting her license back after more DUIs than you can count on your fingers. Her common law husband had a big VP job with the world’s largest retailer and bailed her out, paid for the best attorneys, etc. To me, her death meant that I didn’t have to worry about what I had been worried about since I met her when I was 10...she wouldn’t be able to kill my loved ones, or anyone else’s, by all of her drunk driving. She’d drive even when she was too drunk to walk. It was insane. She only died 2 years ago, when I was 32.
