Man Murders His Elderly Mother
At around 10.40am on 28th November 2012, 74 year old Consuelo Queirós Carvalhal was murdered by her 50 year old son, Francisco Queirós Carvalhal, in the home that they shared in Rua São José. The reasoning for a son to murder his elderly mother was over her refusal to give him $30. He smashed her over the head 3 times with a wooden plank. Upon hearing Consuelo's screams, a neighbour went to help but Francisco had locked the house. Police found her body in the kitchen. Apparently, Francisco had been hospitalised several times because of psychiatric problems. Whenever he returned home, he quarrelled + assaulted his mother. He was also known for being a drunk.       |
