Man Killed By Truck After Crashing Into Proton Savvy
KEPALA BATAS, MALAYSIA: A 40-year-old mechanic was killed in a freak accident when he was mowed down by a lorry at KM123.1 of the North-South Expressway.

The incident occurred at 1.56pm after Lam Siong Yew crashed his car into a Proton Savvy which had stopped by the roadside.

Lam who was heading to Kepala Batas from Sungai Dua, was [?thrown from his vehicle] and mowed down by a lorry.

The victim from Kepong, Selangor, was dragged for 300m and his body was later sent to the Kepala Batas Hospital for post-mortem.

The incident caused a traffic jam that stretched for five kilometres on both sides of the road as curious motorists slowed down to look at the scene.
