Yesterday (4th July 2018) in Luziânia, 25 year old Getulio Oliveira Dalvino murderered his wife, Elenice (Lene) Barbosa Galdene , with a broom handle.

Neighbours reported that the couple had constant fights + that Getulio was a drug user. On the morning of the murder, cries of distress were heard as he was killing his wife. Getulio tried to escape with their child but the police were quick enough to stop him. He was armed with a knife. The police tried to reason with him but Getulio would not co-operate. The police shot him in the leg + he was arrested.

Getulio stated that he was under influence of drugs + that he did not remember having killed his wife.
