According to news sources, the victim is the first man to be killed by a meteorite.
I want to apologize for the images quality. I know they are not the best but I've decided to post them anyway since they are different than another man shot dead in the street.

Indian officials say that a man who died over the weekend was killed by a meteorite.
On Saturday, witnesses described an explosion at the Bharathidasan Engineering College in Tamul Nadu, India. The incident left at least three injured and one bus driver dead. Witnesses discovered a deep crater after the explosion. All the students and faculty members came outside and saw cloud of dust. The intensity was so high, the water tank exploded, killing the bus driver who had gone to drink water.

The odds of being killed by a meteorite are pretty small, approximately 1 in 700,000--a small chance, but still better than your odds of winning the Powerball. The chance of getting hit by a meteorite but surviving is slightly higher at roughly 1 in 75,000, but as i09 points out, only 3 other people in recorded history have gotten hit by a meteorite, and all three of them survived.
