The drug war in this administration promoted by Felipe Calderón, is based on performing different operations across the country. The battle that the president of Mexico said makes use of security forces such as Navy, federal police and army.
The response has been violence by drug cartels operating in Mexico. These clashes and claimed the lives of thousands of people between elements of the federal bodies, members of criminal organizations, journalists, youth and children who had no ties to the drug.
Here are some of the most notorious cases in the national and international press:
On March 29 announced that 10 young people were killed for refusing to stop the vehicle in which they were traveling along a road in the mountains of Durango.
Natives of the community of "endorsement", seven of those killed were children, four brothers, 19, 17, 11 and 13 years, two girls aged 8 and 15 years, two 15 and 16, and two brothers, 21 and 19.
The Interior Minister, Fernando Gómez Mont, expressed his repudiation. He said suspects were the ones who set up a fake checkpoint where minors were executed.
In late January 13 youths were shot during a party in Ciudad Juarez. Around midnight, a group of armed men in vans arrived atof street number 1310 Viñas del Portal and without a word opened fire on teenagers .
Also in Ciudad Juarez, on 29 March in New Juárez neighborhood, there was a bloody deed which killed the little Danny Ceballos Nahomy year and a half old.
Several gunmen opened fire on the shop where the girl was with other people.
This April 14th was released the clash between two criminal groups in a resort in Acapulco, the balance was five dead, including a girl of 5 years of age who was in the public transport.
Subject to several black vans edge turned against each other regardless of the presence of vacationers.
On April 4, Tamaulipas, Mexican army soldiers opened fire on a van carrying 13 people, of which 7 were infants. The result of the shooting was wounded two adults and two children dead.
The Ministry of Interior (SEGOB) said that the incident which caused the death of Bryan Salazar Almanza Martin 5 and 9 years occurred during a clash between suspected assassins and military. Cinthia Salazar mother of small refuted the statement of the Interior Ministry.
