Man Hacked His Partner to Death, and Then Slit His Own Throat in M'lang

PHILIPPINES - At 8:00 PM on November 5, 2020, 38-year-old E.P.S. hacked his 35-year-old partner E.P.L. to death, and then committed suicide by slitting his own throat at their home at Purok 4, Barangay La Fortuna, M'lang, Cotabato after a heated argument. Here's the news report I translated:

WOMAN KILLED AFTER BEING HACKED BY HER LIVE IN (PARTNER), SUSPECT DEAD AS WELL AFTER SLITTING HIS OWN THROAT IN M'LANG

The couple were found showered with blood and lifeless when the police arrived in the municipality of M'lang, Cotabato at 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2020.

The victim was identified as E.P.L., 35 years old, in a relationship and resident of Purok 4, Barangay La Fortuna, M'lang, Cotabato.

Meanwhile, the suspect was identified as E.P.S., 38 years old, farmer and resident of Purok 4, Barangay La Fortuna, M'lang, Cotabato who is revealed to be the victim's partner.

According to M'lang PNP (Philippine National Police), before the incident happened there was a heated argument between the couple that ended in hacking using a machete on his partner and afterwards he slit his own throat that resulted in both their early deaths.

The incident happened inside the deceased couple's house at Purok 4, La Fortuna, M'lang, Cotabato.

Meanwhile, jealousy is determined to be the reason why E.P.S. suspected that his partner had an affair and this is the reason of their frequent arguments that ended in hacking towards the victim, and the suspect's suicide.

As of now, the two deceased were brought to Cofreros-Flores Funeral Homes for an autopsy, and M'lang PNP is continuing their investigation regarding the said incident.
