Man Found Buried in Forest After Locals Spied on Suspects

The body of a man of approximately 30 years, fat and completely naked, dug up from a grave found in an area of forest located at Rua Bela Vista, Vista Alegre Community in the Santa Etelvina neighborhood, in the north of the city.

Only the victim's feet, tied with a piece of rope, were left outside the grave, according to police at the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police (DEHS).

The team went to the place as early at 6:00 am ,, as soon as the body was found.

Some residents of Rua Bela Vista said the day was beginning to dawn when four men got out of a Volkswagen Voyage car, opened the trunk, removed the corpse and took it to bury in the forest area.

After the criminal group returned to the car and left the area, the residents formed a group and entered the forest area.

After confirming that a man was buried there, residents immediately called the Military Police and reported the crime. The Fire Department was also called and sent a team to remove the body from the grave.

The criminal expert of the Department of Technical-Scientific Police (DPTC) found no marks of gunshots or stab wounds and the suspicion is that the man died of beatings and hanging.

The man had several tattoos on his right shoulder and the police hope that these drawings can help in his identification in the coming hours at the Legal Medical Institute (IML).

An investigative procedure has already been initiated at DEHS to find out in the next few hours, who is the victim, what is the motivation for his death and who are the perpetrators of the barbaric crime
