This is the the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, not that small, I'd say.. Its favourite killing method is to pierce through the temporal bones of the skull, (and what we see in the pics are the results): this killing method us unique to cats. This happened in Brasil in June 2008, he was a fisherman camping together with his dad, and the felines (most likely a couple) caught him while he was asleep. The photos were spreaded by the victim's family, in order to sentitize the authorities about the "alleged" need for the people to arm themselves to protect from attacks by cats in that region: it would be way better to leave thes cats alone, if you ask me: felines never appreciate any form of invasion of their territory, plus this one is some extremely skilled hunter, it fears nothing and no one and may reach a weight of 136 kilograms (300 lb): not exactly what i'd call some small and quiet kitty.
