Man Dies in Shootout with Police
Manaus - An exchange of shots between military police and members of a criminal gang resulted in two deaths at dawn Saturday, 16, in the municipality of Lábrea, 702 kilometers away from Manaus. The information indicates that the police who were on duty at the Batalla de Labrea received an emergency call stating that thugs were assaulting people on public roads in the central area of the municipality. Two teams proceeded to the location indicated in the complaint and were received by three assailants who were armed with revolvers and in the exchange of shots two of these criminals were mortally hit. |
