Man Dies After Eating a Pufferfish
On 28th February 2018, a man died after a eating poisonous pufferfish. 57 year old Khat Khan, his wife, 53 year old Horm Pok + 18 year old daughter Khan Raty, ate the poisonous pufferfish that he had caught whilst fishing, despite an earlier warning from the Health Ministry to avoid its consumption. The family immediately became ill after consuming the fish. Khat started to vomit, have diarrhea + a stomach-ache. A short while later, his wife + daughter also started having the same symptoms + they all went to the hospital, but Khat died on the way to hospital. The 2 women were discharged from the hospital after making a full recovery. ![]() |

Pufferfish are HIGHLY poisonous. If you eat the skin or organs, you're done! They serve them in Japan, but the chefs have to be certified. If they do the least thing wrong, whoever eats it will die! Obviously this moron didn't know that for some odd reason.

Mr. Khat Khan .. Step 1: Remove the skin (there are no scales). Cut around the mouth and from there, pull the skin off. Step 2: Wash off the jelly using salt. Step 3: Remove the eyes. Step 4: Using a good, sharp knife, gut the fish being very careful not to puncture the ovaries or liver. Should these burst, the toxins will be released into the flesh making the fish inedible. Step 5: Cutting against the bone, fillet as you would any other sashimi. Step 6: Cut the head into two or three pieces and boil. This can be used for a stew. |
