I'm wondering about the posturing. I imagine it's from gasses building up in the body and causing it to contort a bit since he's got a significant amount of bowel distension going on. Someone biting it while they're taking a shit is actually kind of common. Bearing down to hard can cause a vaso-vagal episode and in extreme cases death.
