It kinda reminds me of one of those attention soliciting suicide attempts. He jumped off of a bridge, intending to just hurt himself and give some dramatic effect and say he did it because he "has a sad." But, then he twisted the wrong way and ended up dead, so in essence, yes, it is indeed a FAIL.
