Sad story

A 22 Y.O. man died in the fire that destroyed the shack where he lived along with his brother in Belèm last night (5-6 September)

According to his brother, the victim had been drinking alcohol during the night. When they returned to their shack, due to lack of electricity, they lit up a candle to illuminate the scene and went to sleep. During the night the candle flames spread eventually reaching the blankets and cards that were used to cover the shack.

When he realized that everything was burning, he tried to save his brother, but it was too late. He escaped with several burns and was taken to the hospital in Belém, while his brother's body was completely consumed by flames.
