I agree, if someone told me that was their next vacation destination I would tell them to browse this site first! It certainly seems like a beautiful country but any holiday where you would have a 50/50 chance of getting home alive is a bit dodgy in my opinion. |

Honestly, Mexico isn't as dangerous as you would think. There are definitely areas that are worse than others, but most of the country isn't too bad. If you aren't in the drug trade, or involved in the fight against it, not much really happens to you other than the occasional petty crime. For the most part, the dangers in the cities are the same dangers you'd find in any other city.
