Man Attacked Two Women in Motel with Blows to Head, Then Sets Fire to Room
Limoeiro, Pernambuco, Brazil A 36-year-old man attacked two women in a motel room with blows to the head, before setting the room on fire, killing one of the women - 29-year-old Josiele S.d.S. - and leaving the other woman, 28, in a grave condition. According to the Civil Police delegate, the suspect allegedly went to the motel with one of the women around 3:00 AM. Around five minutes later, a second woman also arrived at the location. Subsequently, an argument allegedly occurred inside the room. At the scene, objects such as a machete and other items believed to have been used in the crime - a "lot of alcohol", a vehicle tyre, a hydraulic jack, a rock-breaking tool, and a machete - were found. The man, described as having a strong build, allegedly attacked the victims with blows to the head and then attempted to set the room on fire. The fire was brought under control by motel employees with assistance from paramedics. The Civil Police are continuing to investigate the motive for the crime, which has not yet been clarified. The suspect will be questioned as soon as he is medically able. |

It looks to me like both women are dead. There’s definitely two different bodies separate from him. Neither of them look like they’re alive. |

I found a statement from the police delegate, and it seems to confirm it is indeed one dead and one critically injured. https://www.facebook.com/reel/2336569260087728 But I agree with you that it still looks very grim for the critically injured woman, whoever she is. I found another report saying that the man burst into the motel and found out the hard way that his wife was swinging both ways. Edit: updated main post. |

Re: Man Attacked Two Women in Motel with Blows to Head, Then Sets Fire to Room
Plot twist: The surviving victim is not a 28 yo woman but a 35-year-old transgender man who was a friend of Josiele. He remains in critical condition at the hospital in Recife due to severe head trauma and smoke inhalation. Because his formal government ID markers had not been legally changed yet, the judicial paperwork currently lists the charge as attempted femicide for bureaucratic reasons. Josiele leaves behind two young kids, aged 4 and 7. She had previously survived a severe domestic violence attack by an ex-partner years prior. So her transgender friend went to a hotel with the suspect at 3 AM. Around 45 minutes later, Josiele arrived and voluntarily went straight into the same room to join them. The three of them stayed together inside the room for several hours, drinking heavily. At around 5:00 AM, the group called the front desk to request the final bill so they could check out. Minutes after requesting the bill, a violent argument erupted inside the room. Josiele's family explicitly stated that she did not know the suspect, coming from a nearby town, and had no relationship with him. The suspect brought heavy industrial tools and a massive supply of alcohol with him into the motel room. Because he arrived in a company vehicle from the oil recycling business where he worked, he carried the heavy equipment from his vehicle directly into the suite. He even brought a tire into the room. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZQdg3ZxTfk/ |
