Malcolm X Morgue Photo and the NYPD Autopsy Report, 1965
Malcolm X, 39, was fatally shot at Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom on February 21, 1965. Chief Medical Examiner Milton Helpern conducted an autopsy at the Bellevue mortuary the following day and documented 21 wounds. Ten were buckshot injuries from one initial shotgun blast that passed through his chest, heart and aorta; the pattern appeared across the left side of his chest in a morgue photograph. An NYPD supplementary report listed the injuries, and a press portrait from 1964 was taken while he was alive. Three men were convicted in 1966, though the convictions of two were vacated in 2021. Autopsy photographs were accompanied by a witness account. |

Re: Malcolm X Morgue Photo and the NYPD Autopsy Report, 1965
Ok Here is a test question for all of you little gore masters out there . Where was Malcom X born? Answer. The South Side of Lansing Michigan. Only a mile from where I grew up. The State of Michigan has placed a historical marker there at the site of his childhood home. As we say back home SOUTH SIDE MOTHER FUCKER. |

I guess "X" marks the spot according to the ballistic grouping on his chest |
