That's a metal press. You slide in sheets of metal and it presses down on them to shape them into metal parts, ie.,car doors, metal bath tubs, pots and pans, etc. The pressure per square inch is incredible. Hell, it's pressing metal so you can imagine.

But how did his head get in there in the first place?

It doesen't really seem accidental.. I'm having a hard time imaginening anyone would be stupid enough to stick their head in a metal press. I mean, there might have been something wrog with the machine, but still, you don't put your fucking head in a metal press to have a peek! Unless you want to lose your head that is..

It just doesen't make sense to me..

it's an accident perhaps they got dragged in, maybe they got caught on the metal sheet n dragged under the press, etc etc
