I agree with you, but don't you think that whatever he did, if he deserved to die, that he shouldn't be killed by anybody from the mob?
Only by one man officially named to take care of this kind of situation?
Because if someone in the street from the curious crowd around the "defendant" can kill him, he becomes a murderer himself.
And then deserves a worse penalty...
I think nobody around even the relatives of any victim should take part of the punishment and take any responsblitly of any crime.
Of course someone has to do it. an official executionner paid for his job.
The execution should be public (no children) or semi public (only the relatives...), organized, well prepared, administrated by professionals who will accept the responsabilities of their acts.
Or we wouldn't be better than any primitive people.
