Re: Locomotive Engineer, Just Had My 7th Suicide!
Been there, done that, have t-shirt and mug. If one is TRULY suicidal (not the attention-whores), one knows, without a doubt, in your head and heart you just don't want to do life anymore. Sometimes one survives it; sometimes one doesn't. |

Re: Locomotive Engineer, Just Had My 7th Suicide!
selfish? People anger me when they go there when refering to people who commit this act. I suffer from anxiety and depression. It causes me not to be able to have a normale life. I cant even have a relationship with another human being. I work and then I stay home. Almost nothing else. I get anxiety doing anything. IM almost a gorophobic. It sucks so bad. The pain you go through sometimes is unbearable. You can believe from being ther ein the first row as you put it just how bad things are to get to that place to wanna do that. I almost hung myself once. Yes, you are thinking about yourself, your thinking how painfull things have become and you cant take it anymore, its horrible. I think its selfish for others to make a suicide about them. |

Re: Locomotive Engineer, Just Had My 7th Suicide!
But I agree some suicides that are done on purpose in front of others is very wrong. A good friend of mine saw/heard a man jump 5 floors down inside a mall and heard the teeth bouncing on the floor. Some people want to put thier pain onto others, they feel society has delt them a bad hand, and wants thier last moment out to pass that pain onto others. It is horrible. And the thought of a young kid seeing that is just too much. When I was going to hang myself, I was going to do in my closet, along in my house.

Re: Locomotive Engineer, Just Had My 7th Suicide!
You can take meds for the anxiety and depression. There is a path to take that will get you out of that place you are in, in your mind. If you are seeking help and it is not working find another therapist. There is a wrench for every nut. You need to find the one that fits you.

Re: Locomotive Engineer, Just Had My 7th Suicide!
I find it everyone who says suicide is selfish has clearly never been suicidal themselves. A lot of suicides are aftermaths of depression and similar stuff. You might not know what state of mind they were in when deciding to end their lives. Clearly a horrible state of mind, as they sought it better to die than to live. Either way, messy suicide or not messy, it would still leave emotional scars amongst friends/relatives. Messy suicides in public places would traumatize anyone of immediate proximity for life, and that's not good. |
